Hulett C. Smith, former Governor of West Virginia, and a 1934 graduate of WWHS, died on Jan. 15.

Margaret Rose Gunnoe (nee Willfong), a former teacher at WWHS, died on Dec. 1 at age 100. She is a student in the 1928 yearbook.
