Comments: Kathleen Samples Gordon of Southern Pines, N.C. died on September 3, 2008. She would have been 90 on Dec. 17, 2008. Kathleen was trained as a registered nurse and later attended Morris Harvey College and Marshall University. She became a school teacher in Kanawha County and in North Carolina. She was survived by a son, Thomas G. Gordon, Jr. and brothers Frank (1950) and Jim, and sister Jane (1953).
