Comments: Just checking in after the reunion. I had a wonderful time and want to say thanks to everyone who put
so much time in on the preperation and to Robert McClung, Greg Turner and JoAnn Ross and others for the entertainment. Our class
sure was blessed with entertainers!!! Some of you need to bring your entertaining selves to the 30 year reunion. I don't know about
the rest of you but I have a better time now than I did back then. Where are all the pictures that everyone with cameras promised
to post??? I was especially looking forward to the ones from Crescent Elementary. It was great to see Sherry Hatfield, Jackie
Ambrose, David Klaus, Robin Warden, Sam White and the whole Crescent gang. Hope to see John Wilson, Roijo, Beth Crawford,
Beth Whitman, John Evans, Kirk, Joel and many others at the next one.
Like Joey, I certainly missed Ricky Q. and got a tear in my eye every now and then when I thought of him. I wish I had
spent more time with him 5 years ago so this time around I tried really hard to talk to everyone and still failed.
Someone was going to send me Jo Jo's address or phone number in Atlanta and some pix of Monica's wedding, was that you
JoAnn? Joey, how is the list of phone numbers and emails coming that you were trying to post on the website?
Does anyone know if any of our class was in Hurricane Katrina? I have heard from A. J. Misiti who is in Baton Rouge and he
had a little property damage but everything else is ok otherwise.
Stephanie....you go girl! I had my son at 37 and I wasn't woman enough to have any more. We had a drink to toast you
at the reunion. Hope to have one with you next time!

Comnents:I enjoyed the 25th Class Reunion. It was good seeing everyone and hope more people come to the next one. My
wife, Tammy and I are getting ready to send our son, Bryndan, off to Marshall University. Our daughter, Alexis will be in
9th grade at WWHS this year. She is on the cheerleading squad. Our boy's varsity basketball season will get underway in
December. Come out and support our team. Hopefully we'll bring home another State Championship in 2006.

Comments: Looks like Stef has left me with no choice but to add to the Class of 1980 alumni page.
It sounds like I really missed out on a very good time at the reunion. Like Stef said, we had every intention of
attending, I even offered to help Joey with the preparations ... good thing he had Tracey and Cindy. Thank you Joey, Tracey
and Cindy for doing such a great job making the 25-year class reunion a success. As Stef said ... we were trying to figure out
who's who in the pictures that Yvonne added. It wasn't easy! We had to ask my ol' college roomy - Wanda (Reid) Barker.
As for me, I am still living in the Beckley area. I was married for 5 years, and have been divorced going on 15 years. I have
been employed with the IRS for 7 years and really enjoy my job.
I have a beautiful daughter - Ashley, who is 11 years old and will be in the 6th grade at Beckley-Stratton Middle School. She
keeps me very busy between cheerleading, gymnastics, rec soccer, travel soccer, volleyball and basketball. I was also
recruited as team manager for her travel soccer club.
This is a great website. If any of you have time, drop me a line. It is great to see what is going on with everyone.

Comments: Well.....Had a few days to get back in the swing of things, and thought to write some thoughts about
Reunion weekend....I think, and hope, that everybody who came had a blast, again.....I want to personally thank all those
who helped pull it off, especially Tracey and Cindy for doing all the hard work and keeping things straight.....trying to find classmates
address info, and changes, updates, etc,..., is not that easy.....They worked hard and did a great job.....
For those of you that didn't make it, we had a lot of new faces this time......some I haven't seen in 25 years.....Friday Night at
Fosters was great, and most people stopped by......Sat morning came early for some of us...!!!.....The 1st Annual Rick Quesenberry
Classic was a huge success, and all that got out of bed to play drank one in honor of our buddy......Took a picture and will post
in a few days on this site.......might just make this golf outing an annual event for those than can make it.....Sat. Night at
the Armory was great....Wil did a great job with the music (as always), and got to dance with many ladies......Even though Kiran
couldn't make the Rapper's Delight duet with Gregg T. this year, Gregg pulled the slack alone, and did a great job......Sexy Diva Joann
(Rhodes) Ross made Patsy Cline proud, and she and Gregg sang a great song together......we won't talk about McClung's singing!.....Anyway,
Hope everybody enjoyed themselves......Picnic Sunday was great, as Chef Guido fixed the burgers and hot dogs......A neat way to say
our goodbyes
A few thoughts.....Suggestion box showed that most people liked the format (again), so we will try to do it again in 2010....We talked
about having a one day picnic every 2 years or so.....will work on this and see what happens....planning and paying for the weekend is
always a crap shoot when it comes to estimating how many will show up at the door, but everything went well.....We mentioned that we are
going to try and raise some funds to set up a scholarship fund by the next reunion......will keep you updated... We had some cameras
sitting around, some of you must have picked them up...along with those of you who took photos all weekend, please post the pictures on
the website so all can share...thanks!....Just like our playing golf in honor of Rick, the friendship is what makes the weekend.....I hope
most of you feel the same......I know one thing......I wouldn't have missed it for the world!!

Comments: Sorry I've been "out of the loop" for so long, missing the 20th and 25th reunions. I know Tammy Williams and I both
had every intention of making this one, but had to miss it because of prior commitments. How terrific it was looking at all the
pictures and trying to figure out who everyone was -- Tammy and I were both stumped on a few, but Wanda helped us identify
just about everyone ! I only hope there will be more pictures forthcoming!
I've remained in the Beckley area since graduation. I was married to Jerry Lively (Class of 1976) for 5 years, divorced
for almost 9, and have two children -- Emily is 11 and will be a 6th grader at Beckley-Stratton in the fall -- John is 8
and is a 3rd grader at Maxwell Hill Elementary. I am now a newlywed and married to a wonderful man, Sydney, who is a Shady
Spring graduate. We are expecting our first son in early September (can't believe I'm starting over again!). I have worked
for the Federal Government since 1995 and love my job! I would love to hear from anyone who has the time to chat! It's
always great reading about former classmates and getting an update on their lives after WWHS.

Living in Mooresville, NC now with my wife of over 14 years, Joyce, and our 2 kids: Brandon (11) and Kara (7),
both soccer buffs. When I'm not coaching/managing my son's soccer team, I'm spending way too much time at work
as a Senior (why do they always make the older guys have that in their title?) Project Manager for Wachovia Bank in Charlotte.
For those of you who know my Mom, a 50-year resident of Beckly... she recently suffered a stroke and spent 7 days at RGH. Now
lives with my sister (RN) in Savannah. While she's doing much better, please keep her in your prayers.

Comments: Hi Everyone! I just found this site. I am living in Beckley, married for 20 years to Kevin
Morgan from Oceana, WV. I have 4 great kids. Josh is 18 and graduating from WWHS this year. He plays soccer
and has been a part of the state championship teams, both his 10th grade and senior year. He was the Defender
of the Year and 1st team all state, and is playing for Marshall University this fall. Go Herd !! Caitlin is 16,
she is a varsity cheerleader, she is a climber (SCARY) at Woodrow, she was named to the all conference team. Jared
is 13 years, he is at Beckley Stratton Middle, he plays soccer and basketball. They also won the county championships
and he too was defender of the year. Defense must run in the family!! Jordan is 11 years, he is at Maxwell Hill elem.,
he also plays soccer and basketball. I am working at Beckley Stratton Middle teaching sixth grade math and coaching
the Lassie Dance team at WWHS and assisting with the Vasity Cheerleaders at WWHS. It is so much fun. Kevin is an
Human Resources Director for Bluestone Industries in Beckley and coaches the junior high soccer team. Can't wait
for the reunion, it will be great to see everybody again!!

Comments: I left Welch at the urging of my ex-wife and gave up the ministry for her. Bad mistake. Claims back
in 1986 she was not sure what love was and found her by internet. I have for now my 3 children Stuart 16, Nicholas 14
and Holley 13. Both of my parents are dead don't know if I'll come home or not alot of bad memories from 18yrs
of marriage. I was closer to my inlaws than my own family. Most of mine are dead. I manage a department store
again-hopefully when I heal from all these lies etc God will allow me to Pastor again. We all could use your prayers.

just turned 22 years old this month, and is a Senior at Mountain State University majoring in Forensic Investigation. He will

both kids still living at home. I work at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Beckley as a Computer Information

Comments: Well Christmas is almost upon us. Ihope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Just a quick update. Shawn
was unable to stay in the Marines. He started having chest pain in late September.
After several tests we found out he has two leakey valves in his heart. The cardioligist assured us that he was in no
danger but the Marines need you to be in 100% perfect condition. He is looking into an art school here in Greenville. Other
than that we are doing fine. Dwayne and I are really looking forward to seeing you all at the reunion come july.

it's be awhile. Still married to Will and he is Program Director at WTNJ and
doing afternoons. He still has his Karaoke/DJ company and it keeps him busy.
Kathy our oldest daughter (WWHS 99") will graduate from Marshall in May with her degree in Elem.
Ed. She will be moving to Chicago in June with her boyfriend of 7yrs.
He is in the Navy at Great Lakes,
looks like a wedding next summer!
Kerri, 17 will graduate from WWHS this June and is planning on going into nursing.
She wants to go to MU also but might say here the first year...she the last one so it's
fine with me. As for myself, I am working for WV Insurance Co here in Beckley.
I go to insurance school in September to get my license.
Very grateful to have a bunch of people you enjoy working with and look forward to going to work each day,
we all take family week end trips together and are very close. Looking forward to 25yr.

Comments: Hello everyone! my sister just told me about this site and I have been looking it
over. It is good to hear comments from those that I have not seen in such a long time, or at least
since the 20yr reunion. I have been working for American Electric Power in the Engineering Dept since 1984, starting
in Beckley out of college (WV Tech) then transferred to Pulaski VA in 89', and to Christainsburg, VA in 98'. I really
like it here, its about 5 miles from Blacksburg (VA Tech) as the climate is a bit milder than Beckley.
I have 2 children, Amy (18) out of school and working as a hairdresser, and Justin (14)
9th grde, into soccer and girls. I have been divorced for 2 years and have a steady girlfriend that I have enjoyed
spending most of my spare time with. Debbie is from here in Christiansburg, and is a wonderful person.
Hope to here from some of you soon, email me and we can talk about old times and new. I get into Beckley about every few

Comments: I really enjoyed the 20-year reunion and still think about getting to see those of you I got
to connect with again. I hadn't seen most of you since 1980, which seems like another world, one that I now
realize is gone and can't be retrieved. In a lot of ways that world still seems more like home to me than any
other place I've been since. I'm glad I got to be a part of it with you.
I've been married since 1994 to a wonderful woman named Kim, who alternately keeps me from falling down and
from floating too far off the ground. We have two children, Daniel who turns 4 today, and Rebecca who will be
1 year old this coming Wednesday. Daniel is extremely social and super high-energy, and Rebecca, who has brilliant
red hair, is fascinated by music of all sorts.
We recently moved from California to Kansas City so that I could start working at Garmin, a company that builds
GPS receivers and aircraft electronics. I am continuing the work I was involved with for the past six years in
California, helping to build and commercialize a new generation of flight instruments for small airplanes.

in to this short space: Since 1982 I have been very happily married to a wonderful man that I met at
WVU. He is the marketing and sales manager for a 100 year old process equipment company. I graduated
from Northern Kentucky University with a degree in English 7-12. Also, I obtained a degree in gifted
education K-12 from Ashland University. Presently, I am working towards a degree in Administration and
Supervision. I have taught on the middle school and high school levels. Currently I am the Coordinator
for Gifted Education for a private college prep school. I have two boys ages 13 and 11. Both of my children
are honor students. My oldest son is into AP math, AP science, and piano. My youngest son has aspirations
of becoming a vet and has a huge collection of pets (including several reptiles...yuck!). I look forward

Comments: Accidently found this site and have enjoyed visiting. It has certainly been a bitter-sweet
visit though. I will enjoy emailing old friends and catching up. I was deeply saddened to learn that Ricky Quesenberry
had been killed. Ricky was a fire plug and was a blast to be around.
I've been happily married for 20 years now. Our son Josh graduated from High School and is a Freshman at a local community
college while he tries to figure out what he wants to be when he grows up (no hurry). We became suddenly fertile again about
8 years ago and now have a daughter who will be 8 in two months (Kaitlin) and a daughter who is 6 (Kara). My wife and I
both work for the Federal Government. I am in Federal Law Enforcement so needless to say, things have been somewhat busy
since 9/11. I would love to be able to make it to the 25th reunion but that's still a couple of years out. I would love
to catch up with old classmates.

Comments: I sure do hate that I missed the 20 year class reunion. It sounds like it was
a big hit. I am not sure how to catch everyone up since the 10 year reunion, so here it goes....Jack
and I had Jeremy (10yrs); Jack and I went our separate ways in 1996; I met my husband, Don, in the singles
group at our church; Don and I married in March 1999; in July 1999 we moved to the country; I had another
girl (Elizabeth) January 31, 2001 (the reason that we didn't make it to the 2000 reunion). Brittney (15yrs)
is in high school she is a cheerleader, plays the saxaphone and French horn in the concert band, and knows
everything. HA! Jeremy has played recreational soccer for 6 years, he loves to play golf and is involved
in the AWANAS program at our church. As for me, I still work for Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale,
Georgia (17years) I am a Senior IT Systems Analyst or as Brittney so graciously puts it "Computer Nerd". There
is the past 10 years in 50 words or less...! HA! Hope to see everyone at the 25th reunion (and pregnancy
shouldn't be an excuse for me not coming! HA!).

Comments: i have been living in va for 17 years. married to a wonderful
man. we have three daughters. we have a catering business and my husband is
about to retire from the mining industry. he also ministers full time in a
christian church. i've been very fortunate to be able to be a stay-at-home mom,
it has been wonderful. our youngest daughter keeps us very busy with sports.
she is 14 and already 5'11" tall and hopes to play ball for va tech or etsu. we
live in a beautiful community that is very quiet and people still know their neighbors,
our children have horses and can play without fear. i'm very thankful for this. hope to

that after viewing the pictures of the Mullens flood, that I bow my my head in sorrow for the

us and we will need a helping hand. I am so greatful that we live in a world that will help

Sadly, my mom passed away Nov. 25, 2000
and I got to visit Beckley for the first time in a while - too bad it
wasn't under better circumstances. I have been in California since 1985
and after doing lots of different things, am now a stay at home and have
a pretty full time Ebay business. I've
been married to Dane, a teacher and coach, for 9 years. I have four
children - Jason (18) who still lives with his dad in the Beckley area and
is graduating from Shady this year, Breanna (9), Ryan (7) and little

Can you believe it's been 20 years already. Wish I could
have made it to the reunions, but never heard about the 1st
one and had prior commitments this past summer. After
graduation I stayed in Beckley till 83. Gave the Air Force
6 good years in Dayton, OH. Then decided to head for warmer
climates which brought me to NC. I was married to Tammy
Kershner (Independence 82) for 13 yrs (lucky # huh?) but got
over it. I have 3 super kids (Tomisha 13, Travis 8, Tori 7)
that take up my time now. I've been programming
computers/networks for the City of Winston-Salem since 89.
Yes, the weather is nice but it AIN"T WV. Like they say,
you can take the man out of the mountains but you can't
take the mountains out of the man. I still make it up
where it's Wild & Wonderful every chance I get. Any 80's

tragic news. Rick Quesenberry was killed in a traffic accident last
night on Interstate 64. Today has been a tough one. Rick and I were
good friends, no, great friends. He was a caring husband, father,
and son. At last month's reunion, he was so alive and happy. I know
many of you have great memories of times spent with him. The
arrangements are not known yet, but I will let everyone know as soon
as they make them. Rick is survived by his wife, Susie, and 2 great

Comments: Just returned from our 20 year class reunion and,
although I missed the main activity on Sat. night, had a GREAT time
at Fosters Fri. night and at the picnic on Sun. It was REALLY good
to see so many old friends (and, yes...we ARE getting old, aren't
we!). Hats off to Joey Childress for ochestrating an absolutely
perfect weekend! I know he had some help pulling things together (if
I name others, I know I'll miss someone for which I apologize, but
I'm fairly certain Cindy, JoAnn and Sherri pitched in too), but let's
face it... Joey was indeed the man with the plan! I'm sure the other
alum who attended would join me in offering a heart-felt thanks to
Joey for his efforts. If you missed the function, I believe there is
an effort underway to have a quarter-century get together in 5 years
(Joey - are you up for another one?). Thanks again to Joey and all
the others who helped pull together a fun-filled, memorable weekend.
